How to opt out of Nuwber

A people-search site that also flags phone numbers as spam/scam risks.

Steps

  1. Go to nuwber.com and search for yourself using the "Person" tab (full name + city/state, or name/phone/address/email) to locate your listing.
  2. Open your record (click "View Details") and copy the exact profile URL from your browser's address bar — you need this specific URL, not just your name.
  3. Scroll to the bottom (footer) of the Nuwber site and click "Remove My Info" (sometimes under a "Help" link in the footer) to reach the opt-out tool at nuwber.com/removal/link.
  4. Paste your copied profile URL into the field on that page and click the red "Opt Out" button. Review the personal details shown to confirm it's actually your record.
  5. Enter an email address (a separate/temporary email is recommended, since this address itself could otherwise get scraped later) and click "Remove."
  6. Check that inbox for an email from Nuwber and click the verification link ("Confirm Request") inside it — the removal is not final until this step is completed. Check spam/junk if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
  7. Wait up to 48 hours (many people see it resolve within 24 hours), then search your name on Nuwber again to confirm the listing is gone. If you have multiple listings/records, repeat this entire process for each one separately — each has its own URL and must be opted out individually.

Processing time: Up to 48 hours (most guides report actual removal within ~24 hours)

Worth knowing: Nuwber aggregates from public records on an ongoing basis, so a removed listing can reappear later if it re-scrapes the same public source; guides recommend periodically re-searching your name and re-running the opt-out if it resurfaces.
