How to opt out of USPhoneBook

A free reverse phone-number and people-search directory.

Steps

  1. Go directly to https://www.usphonebook.com/opt-out (page title is literally "Opt Out"). It's also reachable from the homepage footer via a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link.
  2. Locate your listing using the search boxes on that page: search by 10-digit phone number, or by full name (optionally add city/address to narrow results), and open the matching record.
  3. Check both consent checkboxes on the opt-out panel and enter an email address you can access — the "Begin Removal Request" button stays greyed out/disabled until both boxes are checked and an email is entered.
  4. Click "Begin Removal Request" to submit.
  5. Check your email (including spam) within 24 hours: USPhonebook sends a confirmation message with a removal/confirmation link. Click it to finalize — the link expires in 24 hours, and if it lapses you have to restart the whole process from step 1.
  6. Allow roughly 48-72 hours after confirming for the listing to be taken down (a few independent testers reported removals in as little as 12 hours, but 72 hours is the site's own stated ceiling).
  7. If the web form errors out or you'd rather not do it online, call USPhonebook's line at (888) 747-4095, tell the rep you want to opt out of the people-search database, and have your name, phone number, and current address ready; ask for a confirmation/reference number.
  8. Because USPhonebook re-scrapes public records on a rolling basis, treat this as recurring maintenance: recheck your name every few months and resubmit if a new profile appears.

Processing time: 48-72 hours after email confirmation (site's stated ceiling is 72 hours; some independent tests report removals in as little as 12 hours)

Worth knowing: Multiple independent guides agree USPhonebook re-scrapes public records on a rolling refresh cycle, so a removed listing can reappear weeks or months later — recommend periodic recheck/resubmission rather than treating this as a one-time fix.
