Steps

1. Addresses.com no longer has its own opt-out form — the old addresses.com/optout.php page is dead (confirmed 404 as of late 2024). Instead, go to the bottom of any Addresses.com page and click 'Remove My Listing' or 'Exercise My Data Privacy Rights' — both link to Intelius's privacy center (https://www.intelius.com/privacy-center/), since Addresses.com's data comes from Intelius. You can also go directly to https://suppression.peopleconnect.us/login (PeopleConnect owns Intelius, Addresses.com, US Search, and related sites, and runs one shared suppression tool for all of them).
2. Enter your email address and agree to the terms, then check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link promptly (some sources report the link expires in about 15 minutes).
3. Enter your full legal name and complete date of birth — the tool needs this to search its database and locate your record.
4. On the 'Matching Records' results page, review the listings shown and select the one that matches you (details like an old address may look outdated but can still be the right record).
5. Complete identity verification: the system will usually try to confirm you automatically via the email or phone number already on file for that record. If it can't verify you that way, look for an alternate verification option, or contact support instead of forcing it through.
6. On the record's control/settings page, change the visibility/status dropdown to 'Suppressed' and click Save/Submit — this is the actual removal action.
7. Allow roughly 24–48 hours for the suppression to take effect, then search your name on Addresses.com again to confirm the listing is gone. Because suppressing through PeopleConnect's tool covers the shared database, it typically also removes you from Intelius.com and other PeopleConnect-family sites tied to that same record — you don't need to repeat this per site.
8. If the online form errors out, won't verify your identity, or you'd rather not submit a name/DOB into a web form: call Intelius support at (877) 564-3253 and request a 'privacy suppression/opt-out,' or email privacy@peopleconnect.us (or privacy@intelius.com) describing the issue. A mail option also exists: Intelius, 501 W Broadway St., Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101 — include a signed statement requesting suppression/removal, your full legal name, current address, prior addresses from the last few years, a phone number, and an email for verification.

Processing time: Suppression commonly takes effect within ~24–48 hours across Intelius/Addresses.com and other PeopleConnect-family sites tied to the same record; full removal from all cached copies may take somewhat longer.

Worth knowing: Intelius/PeopleConnect continually re-scrapes public records, so a suppressed listing can reappear later (sources cite anywhere from a few months up to roughly six months) — periodically re-search your name and repeat the process if it resurfaces.
