How to opt out of Acxiom (LiveRamp)

A large marketing data broker — no public search page; it sells aggregated data to advertisers rather than showing individual profiles.

Steps

  1. Go to the official opt-out form at https://isapps.acxiom.com/optout/optout.aspx (linked from acxiom.com/optout/ and acxiom.com/privacy/consumer-instructions/ — no account/identity verification needed for this suppression request).
  2. Scroll to the 'Consumer Opt Out Form' section and click 'Select Opt Out Segment' to start.
  3. Choose which data types to suppress: mailing address, phone number, and/or email address (you can pick one, two, or all three).
  4. Under 'Who is opting out?' select 'Me' (or Dependent / Deceased family member / Authorized agent if applicable), then enter your full name (include nicknames/former/married-name variations if asked), all phone numbers, all email addresses, and current + any prior mailing addresses.
  5. Enter your email address, complete the CAPTCHA, and click Submit.
  6. Check that email inbox for a confirmation message from Acxiom and click the verification link inside it, then complete a second CAPTCHA/Submit to finalize.
  7. If you'd rather not use the web form, call 1-877-774-2094 and follow the prompts (have your name, address, phone, and email ready), or mail a written request with the same info to: Acxiom LLC, Consumer Care Advocate, CWY0301-026, Attn: Consumer Rights Requests, P.O. Box 2000, Conway, AR 72033.
  8. Separately, if you also want to see what data Acxiom holds on you ('Right to Know') or force full deletion ('Right to Delete') rather than just suppressing marketing use, use Acxiom's OneTrust privacy portal instead: https://privacyportal.onetrust.com/webform/342ca6ac-4177-4827-b61e-19070296cbd3/7229a09c-578f-4ac6-a987-e0428a7b877e — this path DOES require identity verification (name, address, date of birth, email) via a third-party verification step, and gives you a tracked request ID.

Processing time: Acxiom states requests are processed within about two weeks after you confirm via the verification email (i.e., after step 6); some third-party guides cite the CCPA-mandated 30-day outer limit. Full removal from marketing use may take longer to become fully effective.

Worth knowing: Acxiom's own instructions note the opt-out is not effective for data already provided to marketers before your request, and its database is continuously refreshed from partner data feeds — so a profile can be partially rebuilt over time. Re-submitting annually is a reasonable precaution.
