How to opt out of TruthFinder

A background-check site owned by PeopleConnect — opting out here also covers Intelius, US Search, and Addresses.com via one shared suppression tool.

Steps

  1. TruthFinder doesn't run its own separate opt-out form — it's a PeopleConnect brand (along with Intelius, US Search, and Addresses.com), and removal is handled centrally.
  2. Go to suppression.peopleconnect.us/login and enter your full legal name, date of birth, and address.
  3. Verify via the emailed or texted code.
  4. Review the matching records shown and mark the ones that are you as "Suppressed."
  5. One request here also covers TruthFinder's sibling sites (Intelius, US Search, Addresses.com) tied to the same record — you don't need to repeat it on each one.

Processing time: Most sources cite ~48 hours as TruthFinder's stated processing window; a few report it can take up to 7-14 days in practice for the profile to fully stop appearing. Filling out the form itself takes roughly 10-15 minutes.

Worth knowing: Multiple sources note re-listing risk is real (rated 'medium' by one guide) because the underlying public records TruthFinder scrapes get refreshed periodically. Choosing 'Suppressed' (rather than a one-time delete) is the setting meant to persist and block re-addition, but guides still recommend checking your listing again every 3-6 months and resubmitting if it reappears.
