How to opt out of ClustrMaps

Shows a household's approximate location on a map — frequently flagged by safety and anti-stalking advocates.

Steps

  1. Go to clustrmaps.com and search your own name (or a previous/current street address) using the site's search/find box on the homepage.
  2. Open the matching profile ('View Details') and copy the full URL of that listing page from your browser's address bar — you'll need to paste it into the opt-out form.
  3. Navigate to the opt-out form at clustrmaps.com/bl/opt-out (also reachable from the footer link labeled 'Do Not Sell My Personal Information' or 'Remove My Info' on any ClustrMaps page).
  4. Fill in the form: your full name, your email address, your street address, and paste the listing URL you copied. Complete the CAPTCHA if one appears.
  5. Click 'Next step' — the tool will show the matched profile; click 'Show' to confirm it's you, which turns into a 'Proceed to Opt Out' button.
  6. Check the boxes for all associated data (address, phone numbers, relatives/associated persons) you want removed, then click 'Apply' to submit the removal request.
  7. Some reports describe an email confirmation step for finalizing the request — check your inbox for a message from ClustrMaps and click any verification link if one arrives. Then re-check the listing in 24 hours to 1 week (guides vary between 'instant', ~1 day, and up to a week) by searching your name again on clustrmaps.com.

Processing time: Disputed across sources: ClustrMaps itself claims near-instant/automatic removal; independent guides report anywhere from same-day to about 1 week for the listing to actually disappear from search. Tell users to re-check after 24-72 hours and again after a week.

Worth knowing: Every guide consulted agrees ClustrMaps continuously re-scrapes public records, so a removed listing can reappear later — especially after an address change or new public record — and periodic re-checks/re-submissions are recommended, not a one-time fix.
