How to opt out of FastPeopleSearch

A free, no-signup people-search site similar to TruePeopleSearch.

Steps

  1. Go to fastpeoplesearch.com/optout directly (or from the homepage, scroll to the footer and click "Do Not Sell My Personal Information," which links to the same opt-out form).
  2. Enter your first name, last name, and an email address you actually check (consider a masked/alias address if you have one, per DeleteMe's testing), then complete the CAPTCHA — expect it may take a few tries — and submit.
  3. The tool matches you against records in their database; if it shows you matching listings, select the one that's you (click "View Free Details" on your record, then the "Remove My Record" button) to flag that specific profile for removal.
  4. Check your email inbox (and spam/promotions folders) for a confirmation message from FastPeopleSearch and click the verification link inside it — nothing is actually submitted until you do this.
  5. You'll land on a final removal form. Fill in the requested identity fields — guides report it asks for either your date of birth OR your current address (not both), plus a phone number field that's needed to submit even though it's labeled optional (a masked/forwarding number can work here).
  6. Submit. You should get both an on-screen confirmation and a confirmation email.
  7. Wait 24-72 hours (allow up to 3 business days), then manually recheck fastpeoplesearch.com by searching your own name to confirm the listing is actually gone.
  8. If it's still up after 72 hours, phone support directly — sources list (617) 229-7889 as the number to call and note customer-service responsiveness there is inconsistent.

Processing time: 24-72 hours (guides commonly cite "up to 3 business days")

Worth knowing: Every source consulted warns removal is not permanent: FastPeopleSearch continuously rebuilds its database from public records and third-party data brokers, so a deleted listing can silently reappear weeks or months later, especially after any public record changes (new address, court filing, etc.). Expect to periodically re-search your name and re-submit.
