How to opt out of SearchPeopleFree

A free people-search site with basic listings visible without payment.

Steps

  1. Go to https://www.searchpeoplefree.com/opt-out and enter your email address (this starts the removal request — you do not need to find your listing at this stage).
  2. Check the box agreeing to the terms, complete the "I'm not a robot" CAPTCHA, and click "Begin Removal Process."
  3. Check your inbox for an email from SearchPeopleFree and click the verification link inside it within 24 hours — if you wait longer, the link expires and you must request a new one.
  4. On the page the link opens, enter your full name, city, and state to search for your own listing on the site (this is required — the system will not auto-locate your record for you).
  5. Find the correct listing that matches you among the results and click "Continue Removal" next to it.
  6. Click "Remove This Record" to formally submit the takedown request for that listing.
  7. Watch for a confirmation/processing email, then allow up to 3 days (roughly 72 hours) for the listing to actually disappear from the live site — re-check the URL after that window.

Processing time: Up to 3 days (~72 hours) after submitting the removal request for the record to disappear from the live site.

Worth knowing: SearchPeopleFree can only remove the listing from its own site — it does not erase the underlying data from the original public-record sources (voter records, phone directories, property records, etc.) that it re-scrapes from periodically, so the same or a similar listing can reappear over time and may need to be re-suppressed.
